Kim Worthington, at your service ~

It's a "we" thing ❤️

When I use the terms "we" and "our" on this website, I'm including myself, this shop as a live entity, and every form of contribution.

Even though the website features my work and I am the one running the day-to-day operations of this joyful business, it truly would not be possible on my energy and resources alone.

To my dear family, friends, neighbors, students, longtime customers, new acquaintances, and deceased and living kindred spirits of all kinds (animals, plants, humans, unseen forces), thank you for the many, many ways you continue to support and influence my work by being who you are. The energy we create together makes life better for all of us.

Glad you're here!

Make yourself at home.

The fabric designs on this website are creative collaborations between nature and my love of sketching in the garden. Spending time watching little bees zip from flower to flower feels like the purest kind of living.

After finalizing my sketchbook doodles with colored pencils, markers and watercolors, I have them printed onto 100% cotton fabric (or cotton-linen blend) which I then use to make the soft quilted placemats, mug mats, cloth napkins, and other items available on this site.

While sitting at Mom's old sewing machine making these things (may she rest in peace), I feel happy. I enjoy my work, and I like thinking about the joy people will feel when they are using these items in their daily lives. Sometimes, the burdens of being human can cause us to feel overwhelmed. I want my work to provide a soothing break...one that offers comfort and relief in a tactile way, reassuring people that no matter how things may seem at times, the pieces and layers of our lives are being stitched together into something good.

I believe that regardless of our past mistakes or current personal or global challenges, we each have the innate right to feel good and to enjoy our lives. Simple things we use every day can make a big difference in how we feel. They can center us and support our well-being.  They can remind us of who we truly are and of how we most want to show up in the world...what we most want to give while we're here.

Here's to each of us finding nurturing ways to navigate life.

Much love,

Other ways I spend time ~

  • Drawing from life using graphite pencil -- trees, leaves, animals, people (this pencil drawing is one I did an hour before sundown 2 days before my mom died in hospice...love was the only thing in the room)
  • Creating clay and papier mâché sculpture (critters in particular)
  • Writing poetry, songs, short stories and philosophical essays, as well as reading interesting and inspirational works (mostly nonfiction)
  • Giving and receiving snail mail
  • Visiting with special people during relaxing, let-our-hair-down gatherings
  • Thinking about the process of aging and how to bring people together and make things better for all of us as we age (because each and every one of us -- if we don't die first -- will get old)
  • Dreaming of the day when I will finally dedicate time to learning how to play my beautiful acoustic guitar
